Source attack of decoy-state quantum key distribution using phase information

Abstract:

I would like to talk about one of my recent works on quantum hacking, which is performed at USTC. We use linear optics to implement a USD attack on a decoy-state QKD system without phase randomization. I will briefly review the decoy state idea, which I have covered in the last semester. Then, I will talk about the loophole opened when a key assumption in the security proof --- phase randomization is not implemented.
