Quantum-limited measurement of magnetic-field gradient using entangled atoms

Abstract:

I will introduce a new method on how to surpass the standard quantum limit for detecting the magnetic-field gradient by using entangled atoms. In addition, I will briefly discuss how to create the entangled states of atoms and the effects of atom losses on the detection.
