Quench Dynamics in Long-range Interacting Quantum Systems
Abstract: A distinctive feature of atomic, molecular, and optical systems is that interactions between particles are often long-ranged. Control techniques from quantum optics often allow one to tune ...

Quantum Journal Club: Quantum Rabi Model with Trapped Ions
Abstract: We propose the quantum simulation of the quantum Rabi model in all parameter regimes by means of detuned bichromatic sideband excitations of a single trapped ion. We show that current setup...

Quantum Journal Club: Improved superconducting qubit coherence with high-temperature substrate annealing
Abstract: We assess independently the impact of high-temperature substrate annealing and metal deposition conditions on the coherence of transmon qubits in the standard 2D circuit-QED architecture. W...

Loop Quantum Gravity and Quantum Geometry
Abstract: Loop Quantum Gravity is a promising theory of non-perturbative quantum gravity. It is also a theory of quantum space and time. In this talk, the motivations, ideas, and concepts in Loop Qua...

Quantum Gate Operation in the Circuit-QED Lattice with Circulator Function
Abstract: We propose a scheme for a scalable quantum computing in the circuit-quantum electrodynamics(QED) architecture. In the Kagome lattice of qubits three qubits are connected to each other throu...

Entangling Coherent States into A Maximally Entangled Qudits and/or Qudit Cluster States
Abstract: Optically coherent states can be interpreted as qudits with arbitrary integer d. Weak cross-Kerr nonlinear interaction can maximally entangle two coherent states and this can be used for va...
