Abstract:

We review the framework of operational probabilistic theories, with particular emphasis on those notions that are related to the structure of composite systems. We then introduce the fermion algebra on a finite arbitrary set of fermionic modes, that is the typical framework in which fermionic quantum computation is studied.
After constructing fermionic quantum theory as an operational probabilistic theory, we analyse its relevant aspects for the purpose of studying entanglement. Finally, we show a recent result that proves the violation of entanglement monogamy by fermionic states.
